EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Entrepreneur & Author Beatrice Sargin Ereziwosa Shares Her Career As A Nigerian Public Relations Manager

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Sargin Ereziwosa.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story? How did you get to where you are today?

I’m a 2012 graduate Microbiologist of the prestigious Novena University Ogume. My brother Rukevewe Sargin introduced me to the Upwork Freelancer platform. I started as a Freelancer on the Upwork platform, and I’ve been on that platform since September 10th, 2015 as a freelance ghostwriter. I’ve been writing since I was 11 years old and this platform exposed me to working with and for International clients where I learned to be more creative and passionate about my work. It hasn’t been always a smooth journey, I worked with hard critics and was careful to adhere to instructions and deadlines. One thing that kept me going was determination, I knew that I had to make something out of my life and can’t just live without making an impact on my work and my being. My presence has to be felt from the inception of my work with you to the end. My line of writing has always been storytelling, I’ve done countless gigs to this effect and it gives me pleasure for me to see that people are happy with what I do and that also makes me happy. I’ve always been a dedicated hard worker, I believe in giving back to society and I’ve always taken time to invest in myself FIRST before anything else. I take knowledge very seriously, and taking courses regularly from prestigious platforms like Udemy, Coursera & others to horn my skills or to learn something different is a very beautiful thing to do for me.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Being a public relations manager has not been easy. Some people feel they do not need the services of a PR manager and if a lot of people do think this way, you won’t be hired. Others need them but want the PR managers to be virtual assistants and more. You sign up for a PR manager’s job, and you find yourself doing what you didn’t sign up for, some clients will ask you to get trained in most aspects, good for the exposure but now you’re entering into another field with its own competition and you in there somewhere trying to find balance and still telling yourself that you are a PR manager in all of this craziness. You can do your best to manage a brand’s identity and image, all people see are the results. They talk about the brand, not your hard work or sleepless nights in brainstorming to craft out that pitch that can bring life to the brand that you currently represent. No one sees the unanswered pitches, declined proposals, and more but in all, you can’t quit. Quitting is dangerous! If you are not ready to starve or fail at your responsibilities you have to be prepared for whatever they throw at you and know that somehow there’s got to be a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s not an easy race but celebrations and results are only delivered to those who worked hard and waited but never quit in the end.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m an author and Entrepreneur, I have 3 vibrant business brands online BeYAH Fitness (Holistic Nutrition & Health Platform – Founded in September 2017), Beatrice Yoga (Virtual Yoga Services) & of course my Beatrice PR Global Strategies brand that is a Public Relations & Media Platform. My specialties include managing brand communications. I’ve done this for upcoming artists like Scribbles Who in the music industry with regard to exposure to new song album releases. I did this for the Satisfaction Song, trying to get all hands on deck pending its release on February 17th, 2023, it was an amazing experience on this project. I know I may not be perfect but I believe in being resourceful. I’m easygoing, outspoken, open to exploring, and a people person. My press releases are engaging stories and so are my contents in the aspect of pitches, contents, and more. When it comes to my work, I’m very thorough as mistakes can be more costly than anything else. I show a keen eye for detail as this is important in my career. If you need someone that can go above and beyond to draft daring and compelling pitches then you need me to be for your brand. I help startup Skyrock to succeed by developing strategic communication, brand pitches, media engagement, and pr campaigns that get them noticed. Heads up: I don’t lose well. so if I’m on your team, we’re definitely going to win.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

No matter the challenge you are facing now in other to succeed, do not attempt to quit, never quit on your dreams, and never quit on yourself. Be determined to work your hardest to get your own success. Give your best in all you do, be observant, and know when it is not appreciated. One thing I will encourage is if you are in a job that doesn’t give you happiness yet takes all of your time and leaves no room for growth and exposure on your part. Do not remain there. Leave the saying, “A bird in the hand is worth 100 in the bush,” fire yourself! Yes, you heard me, quit that job, leave that toxic boss or environment! You need to start something that gives you peace even if it is small as long as it helps you to pursue your goals and dreams. Staying in such an environment for a long time will keep you there wasting your vibrant years, and crippling your dreams and desires until you give up on them. We wouldn’t know Oprah today if she was still working at the firm she got fired. Your success matters, start small and never forget the ones who were there for you as you took those baby steps towards achieving your desired goals and dreams in life. As long as you don’t give up on yourself or your dreams, forget time, counting the years will keep you depressed but eventually, with persistence, you will get there.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

For me, success is going after and doing that which certainly makes you happy. There’s a joy that comes when you wake up each day feeling happy and blessed that you have to do something you love, with no pressure or tension. That feeling is different. Loving what you do and knowing that it gives people the expected results is something remarkable. Life is short, make an impact! Like Priscilla Shirer said, “If you are to live in this world for 30 years and you’re 20 and have not yet attained success by finding peace at what you do, you’re pretty old and if you’re to live up to a 100 and you’re 50 still finding success, you’re pretty young.” Love yourself, be happy and satisfied with your choices but make good ones, and don’t harm your peace of mind, anything that takes your peace is not really a success. Success brings fulfillment. I will keep challenging myself and be exposed to taking new paths to achieve growth spiritually, mentally, psychologically, emotionally, and professionally. Success is adventurous and I want to live an adventurous life here doing what I love no matter the cost as long as am at peace with myself and loving myself daily for being me and bringing my A-game in all that concerns me as long as I live.

What’s next for you?

I’m an advocate for moving on, so I will keep pushing to attain success, I will nurture all my brands as well as myself professionally. I’m not giving up no matter what, I have expectations set up for each year and I have to work towards achieving all of them at all costs. I have a drive. Being an entrepreneur or a public relations manager is not easy but I have to stay determined to be resourceful to myself and the brands which I represent. It’s not a good thing for people to pay money without seeing results. I have to keep routing out for options that will be helpful for my clients and myself. Quitting is not an option! Working hard, diligence and commitment bring lines to pleasant places. I’ll keep hoping for the best. There are better days and years ahead for BeYAH Fitness, Beatrice Yoga, and Beatrice PR Global Strategies.
