12/19 New Employer Obligations for Temporary Employees Under Assembly Bill 1484 - Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (lcwlegal.com) LCW attorneys will discuss new employer obligations required under AB 1484, including the duty to provide information to temporary employees and labor organizations, and how to handle a request to add temporary employees to existing bargaining units. We will discuss who does and does not qualify as a temporary employee under the new law, as well as subjects of bargaining unique to temporary employees, best practices to avoid employer pitfalls and unfair practice charges, and the importance of establishing and enforcing employment limits on temporary employees.
