Reconfirming our Commitment to Responsible Tourism. Exciting week for Tropic at the LATA Expo 2024!

We are happy to share some wonderful news with you, two of the properties from the Tropic Collection were recognized with prestigious awards during Lata Expo 2024.. Andean Lodges was awarded the ‘One to Watch’ in the ‘Employing and Upskilling Local Communities’ category. The judges were impressed by Andean Lodges' dedication to inclusion in human rights, labor conditions, environmental respect, fair trade, and the protection of cultural identity and values. Chilcabamba Mountain Lodge also received the ‘One to Watch’ award in the ‘Increasing Local Sourcing – Creating Shared Value’ category. Chilca was acknowledged for their meticulous local purchasing practices and efforts to promote local businesses and artisans through their supply chain, encouraging visitors to buy locally produced crafts and souvenirs, helping to ensure that the local communities benefit from tourism. These awards are not just special industry recognition, but a celebration of our collective efforts and vision.

Our gratitude goes to the entire tourism community that embraces our ideas and supports them - helping to turn them into reality. The Tropic Collection was created to support, guide and learn from such incredible projects, and seeing them celebrated is the greatest gift we could receive from the LATA community.

The LATA Expo also featured a new Sustainability Conference, highlighting the critical importance of employing sustainable practices in our industry.Our CEO; Jascivan Carvalho was selected to present and share our history of and commitment to involving and collaborating with communities in tourism, preserving cultures, and maintaining balance in our endeavors. We are so happy and proud of what have been achieved during these 30 yeas althiugh we know there is still much to do. We are currently woking on our Impact Report and will be soon sharing the news with you.
