Exciting Update About Potter's House Ministries Romania

Hello everyone,

Potter's House Ministries Romania has some fantastic news! Despite our fundraising for the children’s homes taking longer than anticipated, we've located a property that fits the exact amount that we had budgeted for the children’s home.

Today, June 20, I had the chance to view the property. It seems to be a wonderful spot for our first children’s home.

As of now, we're at about 12% of our budget for the first children’s home.

However, the great news is that we've managed to reach approximately 43% of the necessary budget to initiate a pared-down version of our other planned programs. If we reach 100% of this pared-down budget, it would cover rent for the property—large enough for an afterschool program, a food distribution program, and rooms for a Job Preparation program—and the utilities. Additionally, with this smaller budget, we'd have a little extra money as well for various activities within our Christian afterschool program.? And the location is also great, as it’s only around a 10-minute walk from where we currently live.

In this initial phase, we wouldn't be able to afford staff for the Christian afterschool program, food for the afterschool program (although the house would include a kitchen, so we may be able to find someone who would be able to cook for the afterschool program), funding for the food distribution program, and the job preparation program (e.g., interview clothing, additional staff, etc), so we’d still have a lot to go for fundraising, but we’d be able to get started on our program and already have the place to start the other programs.

Although we initially intended to start with the children’s homes aspect of Potter’s House Ministries, we realize that beginning with these other programs, aided by volunteers, could be a viable initial step.

In time, this house may potentially become our first children’s home since we'd already be renting the property, and the owner said that she liked the programs we’re planning to start.

We kindly ask for your prayers as we seek the required funds for these programs, including the rent for the house and the utilities expenses. Additionally, please pray for “Grace Fest,” a local Christian festival that we’ve recently supported that was started by a local Baptist Church.
