It's been a while since I wrote a blog on LinkedIn and there's certainly a lot that has been going on both commercially and for me personally.
Personally, my wife and I are having our first baby (due in October) which we're so incredibly excited about. We're now rushing around trying to decorate the house ahead of HIS arrival.
Commercially it's difficult to know where to start. The SWW are busier than ever and currently advertising an opportunity for someone full of enthusiasm and drive to join our dedicated team. We're confident that this will be then next step in the SWW's growth strategy.
We're also now nearly a year into our partnerships with Certainty and since the launch of the new Sure Will Writer program. With regard to these anniversaries the time has simply flown by. Through our partnership with Certainty we've been able to help locate a number of Wills that may have otherwise resulted in intestacies.
Sure Will Writer's first 12 months has exceeded our expectations. We knew that our developers were quick at making changes suggested by our technical team and by our users but the system has leaped ahead and we're now busy planning where to take it in the next 12 months. I'd like to invite anyone who hasn't yet tried it or who hasn't tested in since January for example to retry/try it. It's incredibly comprehensive and has a full CRM system on the front end. All users aren't tied into any lengthy contracts and you pay a single fixed monthly price. Perfect!
When I joined the SWW nearly 5 years ago I had no idea that my job role would be so varied. This year alone I have been to 5 regional group meetings, met with key industry stakeholders in London and Manchester as well as seeing the SWW continue to grow in excess of our targets.
Our team is certainly the strongest it's ever been. They are all very knowledgeable what's even better, they all enjoy their jobs (not my words). It makes for a happy working environment and hopefully members will agree that we give good customer service. Next week we have an IHT course with James Greenwood, we're meeting Ben Martin from Safe4 and planning for the third quarter.
I'll close by saying that the SWW's team are super pleased that the implementation of GDRP has gone smoothly and that the questions are begining to die down. It seems to us that many are now satisifed at the approach that they are taking.
