An exciting Saltie MD…

I am truly excited about being a Saltie and am so proud of my team!

With a cloud-based business model, Salt could enable and support all of our employees and interns to work and learn from home. There were a few connectivity challenges here and there, but this was anticipated and managed with ease. Namibia was already on the verge of a cloud business and lifestyle; therefore, we knew that this would lead to an increase in internet consumption. This, however, did not put a damper or a stopper on our productivity and deliverables.

We successfully brought this model to many of our customers; thus, they were ready for their teams to work from home and keep their businesses going. During the initial 6 weeks lock down, Salties continued to enable our customers to move critical workloads to the cloud, use tools to collaborate and continue essential business activities and processes. They changed the way traditional work is being done.

We also enabled some schools to get their online learning up and running. For me, this was probably the proudest moment, knowing that amidst all of this, education will continue.

To make a difference, you must be the difference. A motto we live by.

So, what’s next for Salties and our customers? We are super excited, and I can’t wait! I can’t tell you now… Well… we are adding the final bells and whistles and will be launching with a big bang – online of course, as we will still be in lock down, but this is not the only reason. We just love to showcase the technology we believe in, use and recommend. We will be launching using Microsoft Teams for a live broadcast.

So, keep your eyes peeled and your ears on the ground – it will be worth the wait…
