BHA Shares Insights into Previously Completed Projects in Throwback Thursday Posts

Just Eat HQ

Just Eat HQ, Dublin

BHA completed an extensive fit-out project for Just Eat Takeaway.com Dublin's Head Office, focusing on transforming the 2nd floor to meet Just Eat's specific needs.

The floor was reimagined with open-plan office areas, designated meeting zones, executive offices, and cosy breakout spaces. To divide the spaces effectively, acoustic glazed partitions were installed, not only visually separating areas but also allowing natural light to flow through the floor. This infusion of natural light created a vibrant atmosphere, enhancing the working environment for employees.

In addition to the partition installation, BHA managed the Mechanical and Electrical works, customizing them to align seamlessly with the new office layout. Strategic placement of data and service points ensured connectivity and accessibility throughout the office, all linked to a central server room for efficient data management and seamless operations.

The project was completed in collaboration with Dublin Design Studio Ltd

Red Cow Hotel

Red Cow Hotel, Dublin

BHA carried out a hotel expansion on the Red Cow Moran Hotel , a significant project aimed at elevating the overall guest experience.

By adding 104 new bedrooms, the hotel is able to cater to more visitors, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay for everyone. Spread across 5 floors, the meeting rooms and lounge areas will provide ample space for relaxation and business meetings.

Moreover, the project involved a complete fit-out to seamlessly blend the new wing with the existing hotel. Some old buildings were demolished to allow for a more cohesive and contemporary design. The administration area was changed into a gym also.

Furthermore, the project addressed the need for more parking spaces to accommodate the increasing number of guests. Improvements to internal roads and drop-off areas enhanced traffic flow and accessibility, making it easier for guests to navigate the hotel premises.

Summer Site Safety

Stay Safe This Summer on the Construction Site!

With the month of June almost over us and the summer heat coming in, it's crucial to keep safety top of mind. Here are some essential tips to ensure everyone stays safe and healthy on site:

Hydrate Regularly ??

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to prevent dehydration and protect yourself from heat illness. Always keep water within reaching distance is possible.

Apply Sunscreen ??

Protect your skin from harmful UV rays by applying sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Be careful in making sure the sunscreen is put on any exposed skin and to top up as necessary.

Wear Appropriate Gear ??♂?

Lightweight and breathable clothing can help keep you cool. Just be sure that all garments are site approved.

Be Aware of Heat Illness Symptoms ??

Know the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, nausea, and rapid heartbeat. Keep a close eye on others also. If you see or experience the signs, get into the shade and hydrate.

Take Breaks in the Shade ??

Frequent breaks in shaded areas can help prevent heat exhaustion. If possible, try and avoid working directly in the sun during the hottest parts of the day.

Safety should be a top priority all year around. Let's work together to make this summer safe and productive.

World Environment Day

On the 5th of June BHA celebrated World Environment Day, which serves as a powerful reminder of BHA's and the construction industry's responsibility to protect and preserve our planet.

By embracing sustainable practices, innovating green technologies, and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship, the construction industry can play a pivotal role in creating a more sustainable and resilient world.

Let's use this day to commit to building not just structures, but a greener future for all.
