Starting January 1, 2025, a new enrolment policy in NSW will make it easier for children of temporary resident visa holders to access education in their local schools.


Here's what's changing:?

  1. Local Enrolment: All students on a temporary resident visa can now enrol in their local school based on their residential address, streamlining the process and reducing barriers to education.?
  2. Enrolment Fee Waivers for Regional Families: Families residing outside Greater Sydney and Wollongong with Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) visas (subclass 482) will see enrolment fees waived, making education more accessible for those in regional areas.?
