Exciting New Chapter for Welsh Cycling: 2024-2030 Strategy Launch

On July 17, 2024, we will officially launch our new strategy for 2024–2030, and we’re excited to share it with you!

Whether you are just starting or have years of experience, our new strategy, over the coming years, offers something for every cycle sports enthusiast in Wales. It is crafted to inspire, connect and support the Welsh cycling community, emphasising our dedication to inclusivity, excellence, and celebrating the vibrant cycling culture we share.

Our CEO, Caroline Spanton, emphasises the collaborative spirit behind this strategy. "We have listened, understood, and been encouraged by the aspirations, challenges, and opportunities of our cycling communities," she says. "This collaborative effort has provided the crucial background needed to formulate our strategy for the future of our incredible sport in Wales."

This new chapter will see us introducing a fresh, flexible and dynamic approach that symbolises our vision. Our goal is to connect diverse communities through a shared passion for cycling and the pride we have in our beautiful country. From the breathtaking mountain views to the serene coastal paths, Wales offers unique experiences for every rider.

• To connect and elevate all cycling experiences across Wales, ensuring that every cyclist feels part of a supportive and enthusiastic community.
• Provide inclusive and accessible cycling opportunities that instil a lifelong love for cycling in young people across Wales.
• Double the number of females involved in the sport across all areas
• Provide robust and accessible pathways to nurture and support athletes and coaches, enabling them to achieve world-class success.
• Dedicated support for the individuals who make cycling in Wales possible, ensuring they feel valued and inspired.
• Model best-in-class governance to build trust and foster engagement, ensuring our organisation remains transparent and accountable.

Our strategy, launching digitally on July 17, 2024, will reveal how we plan to tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and drive forward the sport of cycling in Wales.
