Exciting Milestone: Celebrating 150 Successful Robotic Cases with ANT-X
NDR Medical Technology Pte Ltd
Integrating AI and Robotics to pioneer image-guided robotic procedures.
We are thrilled to share a remarkable achievement in the realm of medical technology and innovation! We have officially reached a significant milestone of 150 successful robotic cases performed on humans with NDR Medical’s groundbreaking and first interventional robot, ANT-X.
ANT-X has proven to be a game-changer in the realm of minimally invasive procedures. It integrates C-arm fluoroscopy and software to help clinicians achieve percutaneous needle placement with safety, accuracy and speed. Our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary as we celebrate the application of ANT-X across 2 indications:
Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL):
Our first steps into the world of robotic interventions began in 2014 in Myanmar, where we performed the inaugural human case for PCNL. Today, we proudly look back on a journey that has taken us across borders, working alongside local and international clinicians in places such as Singapore, Thailand, and more notably, in Malaysia as well as Japan – where more than 40 cases have been successfully conducted.
Spine Discoplasty:
In partnership with the dedicated doctors, we have embarked on a new and expanding frontier in Spine Discoplasty. This past year has seen the completion of 20 spine cases in Singapore.
'The ANT-X Robotic system has been a significant advance in less invasive spine surgery and procedures by providing us with a higher precision of safely getting inside the spine and avoiding critical structures such as the nerves and blood vessels. It allows a more precise targeting of the disc for a more complete treatment using the latest superior to laser precision energy systems,' shares Dr. Prem Pillay, Consultant Neurosurgeon at NeuroSpine and Pain Center?Singapore.
'We anticipate that robotic assistance can be expanded to more areas and targets in the spine for improving the results and allowing for more day surgery?procedures.'
Looking Beyond: The Path of Innovation
While we take the time to celebrate this milestone, our eyes are firmly set on the horizon of innovation. The team has also been, in recent months, working with clinicians to expand the scope of our imaging modalities beyond CT scans to Cone-beam computed tomography scans (CBCT). We are brimming with anticipation as we are on this journey of reshaping medical robotics with ANT-X.
We look forward in continuing to pioneer progress and inspire change in healthcare!
