Exciting Launch: Taurean Meacham TV YouTube Channel and Six-Month Live Ecocultural Conversation Series

I am beyond excited to announce the launch of Taurean Meacham TV—a platform designed to ignite meaningful discussions around culture, equity, conservation, and community change. Beginning this month, I will host a live conversation series spanning six months, starting on September 6, 2024, and concluding in February 2025. The series will feature three live shows every month: APEx, EcoCultural Conversations, and Songs of Hope. These shows are aimed at bringing together community voices and thought leaders to explore how storytelling, art, and cultural experiences can create tangible solutions for today’s most pressing issues.

Why Live on YouTube?

We’re going live on YouTube for one simple reason: to reach our communities where they already are. By using a platform that many people engage with daily, we’re able to foster real-time conversations and break down barriers to participation. Our shows will follow a Townhall format, allowing viewers to engage directly with the panelists, ask questions, and share their own insights as we discuss strategies to address the challenges faced by our communities.

Going live allows us to capture the pulse of the conversation as it happens, providing immediate answers and solutions while fostering a deep sense of collaboration. By intersecting with our communities on a platform they’re already familiar with, we can cultivate a broader, more inclusive dialogue that truly reflects the diversity of voices and perspectives we hope to engage.

This format isn’t just about talking—it’s about learning, sharing, and creating actionable strategies that empower individuals and communities to take charge of their future. We’ll be highlighting community members already making a difference and exploring how art, storytelling, and collaboration can help drive even greater impact.

The Shows

  1. APEx (All People’s Equity eXchange) APEx is where we’ll spotlight the real-world solutions that are already making a difference in communities. Each episode will focus on a pressing issue, whether it's around equity, inclusion, or sustainability, and the leaders working to solve it. The goal is to not just talk about challenges, but to share practical, actionable strategies that viewers can implement in their own lives and communities.
  2. EcoCultural Conversations In EcoCultural Conversations, we’ll sit down with activists, conservationists, and cultural leaders who are working at the intersection of conservation and cultural heritage. We’ll explore how their unique backgrounds and life experiences influence their approach to protecting both the environment and the cultures that depend on it. This series will bring fresh perspectives on how conservation work can be inclusive, diverse, and community-driven.
  3. Songs of Hope Songs of Hope will celebrate the power of music as a force for social change. Music has the unique ability to uplift, inspire, and unite, and we’ll be featuring artists from diverse backgrounds who are using their talents to make a difference in their communities. Through performances and interviews, we’ll explore how music can be a tool for fostering equity, healing, and hope.

Let’s Build Together

This is more than just a conversation series—it’s a movement, and I want you to be a part of it. If you are passionate about art, conservation, storytelling, or community building, I encourage you to tune in and participate in these live shows. Better yet, if you have a story to share or want to contribute as a panelist, please email me directly. This platform is meant to be a community effort, and I’m excited to engage as many voices as possible.

Each show will be interactive, allowing viewers to contribute in real-time, ask questions, and engage with the panelists in meaningful ways. We aim to create a space where learning is a two-way street—where not only do we share insights, but we also gain valuable feedback from the very communities we serve.

A Year in the Making

This project has been a passion of mine for the past year, and I’m thrilled to finally bring it to life. We’ll be amplifying voices that need to be heard, shedding light on community work that can be supported, and showing others how to use the power of storytelling and art to create change.

By sharing knowledge and experiences through this platform, we’re not just sparking dialogue—we’re creating a space for action, innovation, and empowerment.

How You Can Get Involved

I encourage everyone who is interested in being part of these important conversations to subscribe to Taurean Meacham TV on YouTube, and if you’d like to participate or have a topic in mind for discussion, feel free to email me directly. This is our opportunity to learn from each other, uplift the work that’s already being done, and create actionable strategies for the future. Together, we can turn these conversations into real-world impact.

Join the Movement This is our moment to come together and explore how we can all contribute to building a more equitable and sustainable world. I hope you’ll join me on Taurean Meacham TV for the first episode of APEx, EcoCultural Conversations, or Songs of Hope. Let’s make the most of these conversations and turn them into collective action.

Stay tuned, get involved, and let’s change the world—one conversation at a time!
