?? Exciting Internship Experience at Communities Foundation of Texas! ??

I'm thrilled to share that I recently completed my Summer Internship at Communities Foundation of Texas as a part of the Data Analytics and Insights Team for the prestigious Educate Texas division. It was an incredible learning journey that I am immensely grateful for!

During my internship, I had the privilege of working on the RGV Dashboard, a powerful tool that offers data-driven insights on the Initiative led by the Educate Texas team at CFT. This dashboard provides comprehensive views of the educational progress in the Rio Grande Valley region, empowering stakeholders to make well-informed decisions and collaborate effectively to boost educational outcomes and success rates for all learners.

Developing a user-friendly dashboard for public access on the RGV Focus website was my main responsibility. While the journey had its challenges, such as understanding complex data terms and models, I was dedicated to overcoming them through patient exploration and experimentation.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned was adopting a user-centric approach. I enhanced my design skills, particularly in working with limited color palettes and fonts, and learned to strategically place filters, visuals, and disclaimers for optimal user experience.

This internship has been an exceptional opportunity for personal and professional growth. I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance provided by my mentor, Nischal Prakash, and the entire team at CFT.
