Exciting educational opportunities in 2024
Jim Nussle
Chief Executive Officer, AMERICA’S CREDIT UNIONS. Our mission is to advocate for and advance an environment where credit unions thrive.
Members of CUNA and NAFCU have trusted our organizations with the responsibility of transforming into something bigger and better than before: America’s Credit Unions.
That includes making unparalleled educational opportunities a key pillar of America’s Credit Unions, which is why we’re excited to announce the 2024 lineup of events tailored to meet the needs of every part of our movement.
Many CUNA and NAFCU 2024 events were scheduled and contracted before we even announced the merger. I challenged our legacy teams to take a fresh look at the events to add value and consolidate where practical.
We’ve already consolidated 20% of legacy CUNA and NAFCU events, with more announcements to come. We’re working hard to add more value for our members.
While it’s important there is no interruption to the education and resources you need, a new organization brings new opportunities to shape our offerings, and we’d love to hear from you on what you need and expect.
Of course, early in the year we’ll come together for the first time as America’s Credit Unions for the 2024 Governmental Affairs Conference, but there’s also dozens of events focused on individual roles and duties to help you take your organization to the next level.
This is just the beginning of what’s possible with America’s Credit Unions. We’re grateful for your continued support and partnership throughout this transformation. Stay tuned for more.
Interchange data to help 2024 advocacy
CUNA and Leagues are working on another major push against interchange legislation and proposals in 2024, and we need your help to collect the key data on interchange income at your credit union. CUNA sent emails to all credit union members asking for this data, which is essential to tell the real impact of proposed legislation. Help us clearly demonstrate how community financial institutions and consumers will bear the impact of these proposals. Please check your email inboxes for the survey link and send your response by Jan. 15.
