I've always had a standing goal to help others succeed. I have further advanced that by investing in Anduin and joining the company's Board of Directors.?

Anduin is a Charlotte-based company solving the cumbersome invoicing, collections, and payments cycle (work-to-cash) that professional service firms use to manage their operations. Fueled by their recent $14M funding round led by Revolution, Anduin is rapidly expanding its Intelligence-Based Billing ?? platform to build practice management solutions.

Let me also take this opportunity to share some insights as to why I'm thrilled to be involved with Anduin and what makes me confident about their mission to unlock time and money for professional services workers.

#1 The Team

I was introduced to Justin Adams, the founder, and CEO of Anduin, a couple of years ago by a mutual colleague. We share similar values and backgrounds, paving the way for a strong connection. This venture is not the first rodeo for Justin and his team. Before Anduin, he founded Digitize.AI (acquired in 2019). The other co-founders have all been part of successful technology companies and startups. And the other "A-Teamers," who hail everywhere from Charlotte to the Bay Area to Sao Paolo to Israel, represent a unique assembly of innovators and industry professionals. They're combining best-in-class technology with their deep subject matter expertise to drive value for their customers. The Anduin team is top-notch, their customers love them, and their platform unlocks time and money in unprecedented ways.

Starting a venture is never easy, but you change the odds, reduce risk, and have a significant competitive advantage when you start with a mini fleet of navy ships. I believe in this team to win.?

#2 The Market

Think back to 2000 when you logged into a terminal and the classic Windows experience. Today's millennials do not want to work in software used when you had DSL internet and modems every day! Yes, companies today still use technology that is 20 years old! The market is fragmented and occupied by a few larger incumbents who sat on their laurels and failed to innovate. Anduin received immediate validation in months of coming out of stealth mode. In less than a year since they entered the market, the traction is impressive. The numbers reflect their ability to earn trust -- they have captured a double-digit customer base and are delivering a massive ROI (a few case studies Windham Brannon, BGW, and BRC, if you're curious).?

Having served as a Certified Public Accountant in the professional services space, I can personally relate to the challenges facing companies Anduin will serve. They will help shape and change the industry.?

Peter Drucker famously said, "culture eats strategy for breakfast," and I believe this to be an important factor that holds for Anduin. With a solid core strategy, the team's ability to execute and the ripe market dynamics, the company's culture will be THE factor that tips the scale of success. Looking back where Passport was 1-2 years after our founding, I get fired up all over again. I can see and relive the path from an early company with promise to a global industry leader. It's clear that they are charting a similar path of rapid growth, and they have that right mix of people, culture, and technology to succeed.
