Yesterday, President McInnis named me Executive Vice President of Stony Brook Medicine. It is an incredible honor to lead an organization that I have been a part of for many years, and I am deeply grateful for your support throughout my interim role and for your dedication to our mission.?

Throughout my time at Stony Brook, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, passion and innovation that each of you brings to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families and to advancing our education mission in our health sciences schools. This unwavering commitment has positioned us as a leader in academic medicine, and I am excited about the future we will build together.?

As we move forward, I am committed to driving innovation, fostering collaboration and enhancing the quality of care we provide. I remain committed to the goals of our strategic plan, including advancing our clinical programs, expanding services and bringing quality healthcare into more communities in our region.?

We will continue to invest in technology and resources to improve patient experience, elevate basic, translational and clinical research and support curriculum development in our health sciences schools, ensuring that Stony Brook Medicine is at the forefront of the evolving healthcare landscape.?
