Excipient Rebrandings - an update

We all have brands in mind which is also the case for pharmaceutical excipients. Brand names like Avicel and Primojel soon became synonyms Microcrystalline Cellulose (Avicel) and Sodium Starch Glycolate (Primojel). As some people mainly have the brand name in their minds it is important also to know what is behind the name and case of changes even more. Similar to this is the change in company names sometimes due to takeovers or other reasons. Just recently two companies changed either name or product brands wich I would like to share with you.
