Big World
From Exchange Invest 2107: Wednesday, July 21st:
Telegraph
PLY: An attempt to try to make Australia - you know the land full of killer stuff, like spiders and, indeed sharks - look more Koala cuddly all round. So if you get your leg bitten off (a statistical rarity but a tabloid press staple) now it’s ‘a negative encounter.”
This from the country which is now so locked down it resembles North Korea in its totalitarianism - or neighbouring New Zealand. (The way to tell the difference is we never hear the North Korean leader speak so he is not immediately so irritating). Either way the two nations which always claimed they had so many old world characteristics seem to have eagerly embraced the most totalitarian tropes of the worst of the neighbours, right down to shark agitprop.

PLY News: Valereum
Valereum Blockchain
Thank you to the many parishioners who emailed with kind and generous comments this week. This was - lest you missed it - in response to the news I was appointed as an Executive Director of Valereum Blockchain, which is quoted on Aquis Stock Exchange.?
I am delighted to be able to bring my passion for DLTs along with my experience in building/operating and advising markets the world over to Valereum Blockchain, a fascinating project created by my good friend Richard Poulden alongside the equally dynamic David Lenigas.
Fret not, Exchange Invest will continue and the pith will remain mine. The EI team is continuing to expand so we can improve this service.
After so many years in the background (a decade since I was CEO of SIBEX) it’s great to be out in the public eye once again as we deliver an exciting plan in an opportunity rich market environment.

Brexit: Done
Or maybe undone:
This is a touch seismic but it surmises a growing element of British thought with many disgusted at the intransigence of the EU:
The Spectator
PLY: This is frightening stuff but there is a sense of utter frustration amongst many at the singularly appalling imperialism of the EU which is again looking to grasp defeat and maximize “lose lose.”

Lewis Hamilton charged for "victory or death" before title rival Max Verstappen was tipped into a 51G crash at Silverstone's Copse corner on Sunday.
PLY: Not my book “Victory or Death” but a simple case of what happens when you have two grown men fighting for a world championship. In this case their vision was arguably impaired by their testosterone-laden bits making it difficult to see from their rather prone position in the cockpits.
Anyway I am a huge admirer of Red Bull’s Adrian Newey but what a bunch of screaming negative nancies the rest of the management are! If they get their way by the time we get to the grid in Hungary, Helmut Marko will be waving “Orange Lives Matter” flags while Christian Horner takes the knee on a pedestal of used Heinken cans.
At least last week’s British Grand Prix showed that you can be an Englishman who wins despite penalties being applied...
It’s a pity the English football team can’t be even remotely successful as Great Britain is at all forms of motorsport, including driving and constructing.
