Celebrating NPQ Success
Congratulations to all our Cohort 5 specialist participants who have passed their National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) with Exchange Teaching Hub this term - an incredible achievement! Thank you to all our amazing facilitators and participants for their hard work and commitment over the last 12 months.
With a 94% pass rate with Best Practise Network (BPN) and 88% pass rate with University College London (UCL), well done to all involved.
Exchange Teacher Training
Term 2 began with gusto as our trainees embarked on their second placement. We are delighted to see the progress trainees are making in their new settings.
Assessment guru Kate Jones launched our third Intensive Training and Practice (ITAP), sharing the research base and practical strategies around formative assessment. Next, trainees observed live practice in exemplary schools before applying their learning in the classroom. We are proud to offer such an ambitious curriculum, brought to life by the deep practical wisdom of local and national experts. Exploring Manipulatives
Exchange Research School explores the power of mathematical manipulatives in their latest newsletter. This edition features an insightful blog by Jamie Heathcote—maths consultant, NPQ facilitator, and Evidence Lead in Education (ELE)—along with the opportunity to book a place on Making Manipulatives Meaningful, a one-hour webinar designed to strengthen understanding of their effective use in KS2 and KS3 classrooms. ECT Updates
A total of 736 ECT reports have been submitted and reviewed for the December assessment window. Congratulations to all ECTs and their mentors for their ongoing progress! Keep up the great work.
Registration changes
Please be aware that changes to ECT registration are coming soon. We will share more details once available.
In the meantime, continue to register ECTs with an Appropriate Body and the DfE portal as usual. Stay tuned for further updates!
