That is why it is so important to exercise your leadership, and the first step is to do a reflection exercise based on this premise.

1. Arriving at your last day when the magnificent song that your life was meant to sing is still silent within you.

2. Going to your last day without having experienced the natural power you possess to create great work and achieve great accomplishments.

3. Going to your last day realise that you have never inspired anyone by your example.

4. Going to your last day filled with the pain of realising that you never took great risks and therefore never reaped great rewards.

5. Going into your last day knowing that you missed the chance to see anywhere near excellence because you bought the lie that you had to resign yourself to mediocrity.

By applying leadership in everything you do, and in everything you touch, your life can be extraordinary.

All of us have the power to go to work every day and do our best. We also have the power to inspire, influence and uplift everyone we meet through the gift of a good example.?

All of us can create positive change in the face of negative conditions. Even those of us who know the truth about leadership can treat everyone in an organisation with respect, appreciation and kindness and, in doing so, elevate the culture of the organisation to the best of the best.??
