Excel Magic: How to Easily Retrieve Company Logos Online

When it comes to creating presentations, reports, or other business materials, including company logos can add a professional touch. However, finding and downloading logos can be a time-consuming process. The good news is that you can easily retrieve company logos online using Microsoft Excel. In this article, we'll show you how.

Step 1: Open a New Excel Workbook

First, open a new Excel workbook and navigate to the "Data" tab in the ribbon.

Step 2: Enter the Company Name

In cell A1 of the worksheet, enter the name of the company whose logo you want to retrieve. For example, let's say we want to retrieve the logo for Apple. We would enter "Apple" in cell A1.

Step 3: Add the Logo URL

In cell B1, we'll add the URL for the company's logo. We'll use a formula called "WEBSERVICE" to retrieve the URL automatically. In cell B1, enter the following formula:

=WEBSERVICE("https://logo.clearbit.com/"&A1&".com")

This formula uses the WEBSERVICE function to retrieve the logo URL from Clearbit's logo API. The "&A1&" part of the formula is the company name we entered in cell A1.

Step 4: Insert the Logo

Now that we have the logo URL, we can insert the logo into our worksheet. To do this, click on cell C1 and then navigate to the "Insert" tab in the ribbon. Click on "Picture" and then select "From File." Paste the logo URL into the "File name" field and click "Insert."

Step 5: Adjust the Logo Size

By default, Excel will insert the logo at its original size. To adjust the size of the logo, click on the image to select it and then drag one of the corner handles to resize it. You can also use the "Size" group in the "Picture Tools" tab of the ribbon to make additional adjustments.

Step 6: Repeat for Additional Logos

You can repeat these steps for additional company logos by entering the company name in cell A2 and repeating the formula in cell B2. Then, insert the logo into cell C2 and adjust its size as needed.

Conclusion

With just a few simple steps, you can easily retrieve company logos online using Microsoft Excel. This is a great time-saving technique that can help you create more professional-looking business materials. Try it out and see how it works for you!

I hope you found this article helpful. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to share them below. And remember to always give credit to the company whose logo you use in your materials. Happy logo hunting!

This should work in most of MS Office on multiple OS. Use =IMAGE(CONCAT("https://logo.clearbit.com/",D6,".com")) where D6 = Apple For companies who has space in their names, go to https://clearbit.com/logo and then open developer-tools > Network tab. Find your company name, check the API, and then copy the exact key.
