As summer vacation is approaching, it is a great time to relax and recharge, especially for students who have just finished their hectic board examinations. However, at the same time, it is also an opportunity to engage in productive activities that will help students better prepare for their future. There are certain productive activities that you can do during the summer:
Volunteer Work: Volunteer work always gives one a sense of gratification and accomplishment. Spending time and assisting at an animal shelter, teaching underprivileged children, or spending time at an old age home can help students gain a new perspective and approach to life. It also helps to develop a sense of responsibility towards society.
Sports Camp: Students who are interested in sports can indulge in a sports camp. Not only can they spend their time playing their favorite sport, but they can also exercise and stay fit. Sports camps also teach and help develop organizational and leadership skills. Having a good sports background can also make a student eligible for scholarships in college.
Create a portfolio. Students with creative talent can create a sample of their work that can be used as a future reference when looking for a job. For example, students who are into photography can create a portfolio of the images they click and upload them to platforms such as Flickr, 500PX, Behance, and so on, which supports and encourages budding photographers. This will help the students build their self-confidence.

Summer job or internship: It is one of the most productive things for a student to do during their summer break. It is perhaps one of the best ways through which students can understand the importance and value of money. Students are often enthused with the idea of making money. When they put in hard work to earn some money, they will understand the importance of money management and also wish to aim higher in life.
Reading: According to Dr. Seuss, "The more you read, the more things you will know." "The more that you learn, the more places you will go." by developing a habit of reading various informative books. You’re not only gathering knowledge but also improving your ability to concentrate.
