Exams Are Back, and We’ve Been Busy Helping Students Prepare
Exams are back for the first time in two years, which means that there are thousands of students across the country who are seriously out of practice.?
Most A-Level students haven’t sat a formal exam since their SATs, having missed out on the vital practice that their GCSE exams would have given them. Many have risen to the challenge and are excited to show everyone what they can do - they have missed out on this opportunity for two years running, so for those that excel in exams, their time has finally come.? However this year, many students are not only worrying about the disruption that the pandemic has had on their subject knowledge, but many are also anxious about making sure they can correctly apply the knowledge they have to the questions, in order to get the marks.
During this challenging time, we’ve been pleased to have been able to help many more students prepare for their exams. We’ve recently seen an increase in lesson bookings of 10%, which means that thousands of students across the country will be entering exam halls feeling like they are ready to take on the world.?
Most of this upsurge in bookings has been for last-minute help with exam revision and techniques. Many of our tutors are examiners themselves and have been well prepared to help students with tricky topics, exam best practice, and even just helping students stress and anxiety under control before their exams.?
Thanks to our amazing tutors, we recently hit two huge milestones - 2.5 million completed lessons and 70,000 5-star reviews!

It’s clear that exams this year are more stressful than they’ve ever been, and with the added worry that there will be fewer top grades as the government plans to rein in grade inflation, the thought of missing out on a place at university could soon be a reality for many students
The odds have been stacked against students for the last two years, however many have still managed to come out on top and get the grades they need to pursue the career they want. The most important thing parents can do is communicate often with their children and do what they can to address any concerns or worries before they get on top of them.
If your child does need some extra academic help, it doesn’t have to come at a huge price. Just a few sessions with one of our 1:1 tutors can do a world of good for a child’s confidence and subject knowledge, and our small group classes are a cost-effective way to brush up on a particular topic.
