Exams time across the country, 10+m attending tests in this season. "Board Exams" are the most important, along with students, parents, teachers, family friends, relatives, etc, are curious.
Somewhere around 1835 AD, "THE EXAM" the brand creator was Thomas Babington, better known as Lord Macaulay, is the man who brought British Education System into India.
Neither Sanskrit nor Arabic poetry matched that of Europe; in other branches of learning the disparity was even greater, Macaulay argued: He wrote - "I have never found one among them who could deny that a single shelf of a good European library was worth the whole native literature of India and Arabia."
Macaulay introduced British education in India, which is focused on achieving interim goals and for each goal you will get some benefit(s). It's like every level you pass in a mobile game.
If we read some historical books, Indian education was more focused on the integral development of a child. We had world-renowned universities across the country offering studies in various subjects. The quest was for knowledge, not temporary goals for which you make a student study for 10+years in school.
Today, we should consider exams as a check on the recapitulation of what was learnt in a particular year by the student. That's all. Nothing can ever determine the calibre of our student, at least not such exams. There is no need to fear, the exam is just a test for the student's memory.
After exams; 'Ex' is past, 'AM' new to learn new, so they go beyond in learning new lessons.
