This is what happens when you let a state-owned company monopolize an entire industry.

Despite #safaricom recently joining the market, #Ethiotelecom can still be considered as the sole data and cell service provider and although the company has played a significant role in boosting the country's tech sector, it has also continually committed obvious service policy violations and is yet to be held accountable for it.
?In today's day and age where the internet is rapidly becoming an integral part of our day to day lives, constant access to up-to-date information is key for businesses to make well-informed and timely decisions. Not only that, more and more businesses are becoming heavily reliant on the internet to run daily business operations and we should also not forget about those based purely online. Hence, any abrupt suspension of data service means deals are postponed, services are not delivered and orders are delayed inevitably resulting in loss of revenue and customers. All of which are outside of the company’s control. Nonetheless, these businesses keep taking a hit whenever the government decides to cut off access to the internet at will.
I have never once heard #Ethiotelecom make public statements offering apologies to companies let alone offer compensations. The question is how long will this company keep committing these violations in broad day light and still somehow fly under the radar??
