EX Venture Insights: July 2024 Edition

Welcome to this month's EX Venture Insights! We're excited to share our latest updates: Zero-X’s X-5 machine is now operational in Canggu after overcoming logistical challenges. We're opening a new office at Petronas University in Malaysia to support our X-150 machine rollout. Our biochar research is advancing, focusing on sustainable building materials. In the Planet 43 accelerator program, we're making strides with key investors like Hatcher and Pure Terra. Gemino AI's AI chatbot innovations will be featured in “Die Zeitschrift Die Saechsische” soon. Our Bali team has grown to 28 members, including Gabriela and Josh, enhancing our capabilities. Zero-X: X-5 Machine in Canggu

In 2021, Zero-X introduced the X-5, a prototype for the X-150 waste-to-gas generator, capable of transforming various waste types into clean syngas. Initially stationed in northern Bali, the machine faced logistical challenges due to its size. Recognizing its potential, a dedicated team disassembled the X-5 for transport to Canggu. They navigated challenging roads and reassembled the machine at Thrive Hotel using virtual guidance. This endeavor highlighted infrastructure issues but showcased the team’s resilience. The X-5's successful setup in Canggu demonstrates the potential for advanced waste treatment technology in developing regions, addressing significant waste management challenges.

Furthermore, we're preparing to open a new office at Petronas University in Malaysia to attract top engineering talent. We're hiring mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to roll out the X-150 machine in the coming months.

Innovative Biochar Projects

Our research into biochar applications is progressing. We are launching a new test series to create building bricks from biochar, promising significant future developments.

Planet 43 Accelerator Program

We are excited to share that we have successfully completed the second week of the Planet 43 accelerator program. This program is helping us make significant strides in our fundraising efforts for Zero-X. By partnering with top investors like Hatcher and Pure Terra from the Netherlands, we are gaining valuable insights and support. Their expertise is crucial as we work towards securing the necessary funds to advance Zero-X’s innovative waste-to-energy technology.

Gemino AI's Advancements

We are proud of our portfolio company, Gemino AI, for their impressive advancements in artificial intelligence. Their upcoming feature in “Die Zeitschrift Die Saechsische” will highlight their progress in developing both text and voice chatbots. This feature will showcase how Gemino AI’s innovative solutions are transforming customer interactions and automation. Look out for its release later this month to learn more about their exciting developments.

Team Growth in Bali

Our team has grown to 28 members, thanks to our successful internship program in Bali. Special welcome to Gabriela and Josh, who are pivotal in building a top-tier centralized and decentralized team. Their efforts are enhancing our remote work capabilities and laying a strong foundation for the future growth of our portfolio companies. Their expertise and leadership are driving our success and innovation.
