You know the common phrase:?curiosity killed the cat?
Well, it turns out that there’s a second half to the idiom. A pretty fundamental part that is often forgotten about when quoted.?
The full rhyme is:?“Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.”
What does this mean??
It means you should embrace curiosity. That’s why “just out of curiosity” is one of the set of Magic Words in Exactly What to Say (and many people’s favorite). When you make room for curiosity and openness in conversations, you are less likely to cause conflict.?
