- The main idea behind
eWizard
was to build a product that enables users to create and edit eDetailers without programming skills.?
- It all started with the initial commit on 23 Oct 2013. It didn't include an operating version of the product, but in just one day, we released 0.1 version that already had some features like uploading/viewing presentations and a library of presentations.?
- Version 0.2 came a few more days later and brought on the functionality for editing presentations.?
- Our own framework (universal standard), first named Cobalt Engine, and the new version of the framework eWizard.js, helped us to standardize content production for different systems and became the core background for the eWizard platform.?
- eWizard UI has undergone many changes, but certain elements remain almost the same from Day 1, for example, the sidebar.?
- Another idea that was driving the development of the product was "Create once - publish everywhere" (the same presentation can be uploaded to different systems with their formats with no need for additional development for the framework transfer). We are still sticking to this principle, adding more systems to eWizard.?
- Many features we now have in our portfolio came to life upon the requests of our clients. The first example of such customer-centricity was the launch of a new content type, emails. Let me once again highlight how much we value feedback from our clients, it literally helps us grow and develop!?
- Implementation of a modular approach in eWizard also happened due to our collaboration with clients who were highly interested in piloting it.?
- From the technical point of view, eWizard has undergone a path from monolith to microservices architecture and currently accounts for around 200 microservices.?
- Finally, let this 10th fact be not a fact at all, but a big "thank you'' to each and every person on our team. Building a high-quality product is always a collaborative effort, and eWizard's journey from an idea to the amazing product it is today is only the team's merit.?
P.S.: Kudos to Serhii Tkalych who was on the team from day one and made that first commit!
What an amazing journey it was!
