Evolving our solution through customer feedback
Inteum Company, LLC
Benchmark for Intellectual Property Management Software (IPMS)
American writer Thomas Dreier said: “The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are.”
In the same vein, the reflection of a business is its customers. We love reading reviews for our enterprise intellectual property management system (IPMS) and getting customer feedback. The good ones are encouraging:
"... it is best of breed for most academic TLOs [technology licensing offices]."
"Large user base, fairly intuitive, constant improvements, good customer service."
And the bad ones which are really more constructive than bad are helpful in improving our solution:
"... reporting to iEdison has problems and does not always work smoothly."
Feel free to read all of our reviews on G2 or Capterra. One thing you will notice is the large number of reviews compared to our competitors and the details of the reviews by our users. These are not friends and family reviews. We did not encourage our customers to write these reviews, so this speaks to the collaborative nature of our customers.
Most if not all feedback has been addressed particularly with the upgrade to Minuet. Also, Inteum was the only IPMS vendor to have a working upload to the new iEdison system when it was released last year in addition to offering assistance with each customer's certificate-based authentication setup and subscription maintenance which has to be renewed annually.

We also occasionally read competitor reviews which can be both constructive and sobering:
"Concept is great but software is not there." [Ouch!]
"The entire cloud software package is very slow and that is a limiting factor for its usefulness."
"Needs a feature to search invention titles."
Inteum's fifth generation enterprise IP management system, Minuet, which was released at the end of 2019 and is now in version 8.8 is not a concept. Our development team continuously enhances the software based on customer feedback and we release monthly updates like these from last month alone:
Minuet was designed to be user-friendly, fast, and a workhorse. Our customers are sophisticated, analytical, and extremely enterprising in their usage of the software. If your portfolio and office are growing, and your software feels stagnant, outdated or isn't keeping pace it may be time for an upgrade to Minuet.
