Evolution from an idea to the PIX-EDA logo with Claude.AI
Today I like to share a slide that shows the evolution from an initial idea for a logo based on a photo with text to a scalable vector graphic. This morning, I created the photo on the top left. It uses a Monarch butterfly which nicely captures my own transformation from an interesting corporate caterpillar to a free-flying integrated circuit power efficiency consultant.
I loaded the picture into Claude.AI to receive its thoughtful critique. Claude suggested that it would be nice to create a simplified logo as a vector graphic to be clean at any scale. I asked it to proceed in that direction and it came up with a nice starting point that I then tweaked with verbal guidance through the shown variations. I will let you have fun finding the differences between the pictures. Some are quite subtle.
The bottom line is that in less than ten steps I was able to get a logo that is unique, clean, scalable and memorable without a professional graphic designer.
I love Claude.AI !
For now I will settle on the second last logo. Getting the transitions between the line segments smoothed some more did not happen in the steps that I could try before hitting the limit of "free". In engineering it is important to be able to stop at the "Good enough!" point. Especially when we are working on marketing material.
