Also, there is no doubt that advertising has become a large and important service industry in the non-communist world.
In 1704, the first newspaper was published in the United States (USA). Throughout its pages, it promoted itself as a medium for advertising. An advertisement for a dentifrice well accepted by the nobility and high class was then published in The Spectator by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele. The growth of the advertising industry accompanied business expansion in the 19th century. Advertising agencies were created primarily in the United States during this time. Newspaper brokers were the first agencies. However, by the early 20th century, advertising agencies began producing the advertising message itself, including copy and artwork, and by the 1920s, agencies were able to plan and execute complete marketing campaigns, from initial research to copy preparation to placement in various media.?
Today, advertisers rely heavily on artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to deliver better results for their marketing campaigns, while about two decades ago, there were no such solutions available in digital advertising. Certainly, these were different times, as users were exposed to far less advertising content in 1994. Over time, the average CTR has steadily increased. Two years later, in 1996 Double Click was created as well as the first advertising network. In 2000, Google AdWords (currently known as Google Ads) launched. Because of the success of its search engine, Google was the most popular advertising company in the advertising market.?
