"Habe stets ein Ohr für die Vergangenheit, ein Auge für die Zukunft und ein L?cheln für den Augenblick"
Finding and retaining the right employees is one of the biggest challenges for companies. It's not just about technical skills; personality and fit with the company culture also play crucial roles. But how do you identify the ideal candidates? This is the question we tackle at AVALES Wilhelm AG with an innovative approach called EvoluAssess.
EvoluAssess represents a significant advancement in consulting practice, based on a unique blend of scientific research and practical application. Developed in-house, EvA relies on extensive, anonymized datasets from previous years and adopts a multidisciplinary approach, merging expertise from psychology, data analysis, and consultancy. Our psychologists work closely with EvA to identify patterns, trends, and connections, enabling us to gain valuable insights into the success rate of hiring after an assessment. By analyzing this data, we can develop tailored solutions for our clients and base our consultancy on scientifically sound statements.
EvA not only signifies the successful integration of science and practice but also forms the foundation for forward-thinking consultancy, rooted in evidence-based insights and continuous development. In this white paper, we present the preliminary results of EvA and extensively discuss their implications for practice.
Our Goal?
Our aim is to ensure a perfect match between the skills, traits, and experiences of candidates and the requirements of each position. By developing such ideal profiles, we can enhance the effectiveness of the hiring process and strengthen long-term employee retention, ultimately contributing to increased company performance.

Here's How We Did It
To determine whether the recommendations from the assessments influenced hiring decisions and how employees developed within the company after being hired, we relied on internal datasets from the years 2021 to 2024. A combination of methods was used to capture the data, including computer-assisted data collection through an assessment tool and manual recording using observation sheets based on the competency model. The temporal dimension of the study was realized by employing a longitudinal design with multiple measurement points. This design allowed us to track and analyze changes and developments within the target population over a defined period.
What does the Data Show?
The preliminary results are promising. They suggest that recommendations from assessments strongly influence hiring decisions. Employee long-term retention also appears to depend on these recommendations. But what do these results mean exactly, and how can companies benefit from them?
In the coming weeks, we will delve deeper into these questions and discuss the detailedimplications of the data analysis. Stay tuned for an in-depth analysis that not only provides insights into the current situation but also offers pathways for continuous improvement.
