The Evil and Pernicious Nature of Holocaust Inversion

The Evil and Pernicious Nature of Holocaust Inversion

‘Holocaust inversion’ is a term that immediately calls to mind the worst crimes against humanity in history. It describes when the horror of the Holocaust is used as a weapon against the very people that suffered it (usually the Jewish people, though hatred against Roma people and other targets of Nazi ire should not be overlooked). It is as evil and pernicious as its twin in deplorability, Holocaust denialism. And today, it is everywhere.

You may not have realized what it is, but you’ve certainly seen it before. It takes the form of every defamatory accusation of “genocide” leveled against the Jewish nation. Every time someone says “Genocide Joe” in reference to the sitting U.S. President for his being a Zionist and standing with Israel, they are engaging in libelous Holocaust inversion against the only Jewish nation in the world. It is disgusting. It is morally abhorrent. No one of good conscience can tolerate such utterly reprehensible and patently false allegations.

When people say “the Jews have become the oppressors after everything they’ve been through”—that’s Holocaust inversion. When people say “Jews should know better”. When people accuse over a hundred thousand Israeli Holocaust survivors and their children and grandchildren of committing genocide in Gaza today—it’s just shocking that someone could be so cruel and malicious to the Jewish people. The nation of Israel is uniquely committed to remembrance of the Holocaust, from Yom HaShoah to Yad Vashem. To have the gall to claim they would be so cruel, so cartoonishly evil as to commit the very act that has scarred the Jewish people for millennia; it simply boggles the mind. ‘Never again’ is the sacred promise the world made, and Israelis intend to remember and uphold it.

Weaponizing the trauma of the Shoah is a known and deplorable tactic in the arsenal of the antisemite. They seek to cause as much injury as possible against Jews and know that using language with highly specific meanings (such as ‘genocide’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’) where that language is not applicable still calls to mind the scars of the past. Many even know that such claims are absurd; they just like the excuse to shame Jews and the fact that society hasn’t pushed back at all against their shameless hate. As Sartre wrote of the antisemite, “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

This new-age blood libel of “genocide” against the Jewish people came to a fever pitch with South Africa’s defamatory action brought against Israel in the International Court of Justice accusing the Jewish nation of “genocide” in Gaza. The accusations were as meaningless as the court’s non-ruling on them. All the farce did was enable Jew haters around the world to ratchet up their rhetoric about “Jews committing genocide” and other absurdities. The ICJ will bear eternal historical shame for entertaining such offensive and facially defamatory accusations against Israel; but in truth, they will bear shame anyway for their many moral failures in rulings against the Jewish nation. The “Palestinian cause” has waged intelligent ‘lawfare’ against Israel for quite some time, and it turns out that judges appointed by the UN tend to act according to the general consensus of the UN; in other words, the judges of the ICJ are deeply biased against Israel and have been for a very long time. But I will save an accounting of the many sins of the UN and its apparatus for another day. Suffice to say that no one on the planet should be happy with the state of the United Nations; its hateful obsession with Israel is truly astonishing, and extends to virtually every body under the UN.

The Jews of Israel have been accused of “ethnic cleansing” and even “genocide” since Israel became a modern nation and won their war of independence in 1949. Arabs that had evacuated their partition of British Mandate Palestine in the hopes of a swift defeat of the Jews were not let back in when the Jews won and permanently re-established the Jewish nation. This is not “ethnic cleansing” —this is warfare. Starting and losing wars has consequences. And the narrative around the ‘Nakba’ catastrophe of failing to eliminate the Jews and Jewish nation perpetually overlooks the fact that most Jews that ended up in Israel over the past century and a half were themselves refugees.

They had to escape Jew hate and pogroms in their former homes, whether their family came from Kyiv or Baghdad. The Holocaust itself left hundreds of thousands of Jews in DP (displaced persons) camps with nowhere to go. They tried returning to places like Poland, only to be driven out again. The ‘Hope of Two Thousand Years’ is more than a dream—it is a necessity. Zionism is a product of relentless Jew hatred by the world proving that the Jewish nation must exist, or the Jewish people will perpetually be at the mercy of potentially malevolent mobs and regimes that will inevitably turn against them. I wish the world were any other way. But this seems to be how it is, and how it’s always been. The oldest hatred of humanity has not gone away with our technological and societal advancement. If I only knew why people still held such primitive hate in their hearts.

Why does no one talk about the actual ethnic cleansing committed across the Middle East and North Africa against Jews once the Jewish nation was established? Why can’t anyone find any Jews anymore in Baghdad? The Jewish population there was thriving at the turn of the 20th century; approximately 40 percent of the population of the city was Jewish. But not anymore. In the whole of Iraq, there are only dozens of Jews left. Why? Because they were ethnically cleansed from Iraq and many other countries in the region following the establishment of the Jewish nation. Not a peep from any “protestor for Palestine” about it though. I wonder why.

Hatred of Israel is the new hatred of Jews. It presents a target for ire that can be “discussed academically”, whereas the consequences of that hate reverberate in Jewish communities across the world. Today, Jew haters wear masks that say “anti-Zionism”; but don’t be fooled. They don’t care about the Palestinians. The Palestinians don’t even care about the Palestinians; just ask their leadership in Qatar (or Tehran—whoops, too soon?) about what they think is required to defeat the “Zionist entity”: martyrs, martyrs, martyrs. That’s been their narrative since forever. And all it has ever brought to the Palestinian people is death and destruction. The Jewish nation is here to stay. Their “resistance” will never destroy it. And as long as psychopaths like Haniyeh—I mean Sinwar are in charge of Gaza, no good will come to their people.

If you truly want a flourishing Palestinian state, then you must support Israel and their objective to permanently destroy Hamas. No other nation or entity on Earth has the capability to create a better future for Palestinians while ensuring that they won’t fall under the control of terrorist dictators again. And every lie, every libel you level against the Jewish nation is just one more piece of excrement in the shit sandwich all Jew haters will be forced to swallow one day. History will not be kind to you if you continue on the path of hatred. But that is your choice to make.

History repeats itself. This is the 7th? Genocide attempt against Jews. Expect anotha Noah + Moses to lead the world. Hashem gave me a new covenant, the world is so full of wickedness.. the rainbow is his 'smile', the sun and moon his 'eyes' as the moon waxes n wanes throughout the month, God winks at us to remind us of his mercy. If the world doesn't unite behind Israel in the next 6 years, expect a global hurricane with an eye over Israel. There will be 3-6 cities of refuge around the world, only 1 in north America. Why cities of refuge? Cuz all y'all taxes paid Hamas the past 15+ years, Oct 7th is on your hands, almost every American, European, etc, are accomplices to murder n rape... Plus there's 100+ million slaves around the world facilitated by investors who want to maximize their ROI. 1+ billion people still live in extreme poverty ensuring your luxurious life.. #exodus2030 Also, every Jew needs to light sesame oil (inside an egg shell if you like harry Potter) for a shabbat candle. It helps transfer souls to the next world, it rids of the souls of Amalek from ours. Why sesame? "There's nothing new under the sun" So where's there something new? Inside the sun. "Open sesame" in the Hebrew word sesame is sun #exodus2030

Excellent article Anthony. Accusing the Jews of genocide against the made up 'Palestinian' Arabs not only cheapens the 6M Jews (and millions of other people) murdered during the Holocaust, but it's malicious and downright evil. BTW, you state in your last statement "If you truly want a flourishing Palestinian state..." While I agree that a stable Gaza and Judea Samaria (what the western media calls the West Bank) is obviously much better for the region, I don't believe there should be yet another Arab nation, especially in Israel proper.

It's also important to "know" the Messenger. To wit, the Hamas Wing in Congress refers to Former President Biden as "Genocide" Joe. To wit, the Liberal Media, et al, refer to President Trump as Hitler. Sadly, the ease of which many participate in "Holocaust Inversion" is truly frightening. But it also minimizes knowledge of ANY situation - thus the chants of "From the River to the Sea" on College Campuses, but no one can identify the River or the Sea. Far easier to simply echo Accusations.
