Evidence-Based Everything: The Best Practice[d] of Yesterday

As continue to see citing, mentioning, exclaiming, and emphasizing this that everything - evidence based - it has become quite apparent to me that this is an expression en route to retirement as these days our days the nows and the here - evidence-based just does not make the cut.

More and more by the day we are fully embracing the era of agility, evidence embracing so long as that embrace is confined to moments in time in scope and context of variables and limitations in that moment - best practices - being the best possible set of actions & optimizations in context and limited to that sceptre of the spectre of those people, places, problems, possibilities at that moment & time.

Awareness is expanding that our very studies of statistics & incorporations thereof dictate that there's no such thing as best practices one can learn at conferences and symposiums - as - how can anything be a best practice when it leaves so many variables on the table as if they weren't significant - as if they didn't matter - as if it could be by osmosis or other type of mechanism - intuition of best steps to take best approaches - and everythings ok as those practices are 'evidence based.' When one thinks about it - its sort of an insult to all the data scientists, market researchers & so on as - how can there be a best practice where so many signficant differentiating variables are left on the table.

More & more & at an accelerating pace we are witnessing de facto differentiating of the evidence responsive / evidence corresponding / compounding mechanisms that more & more will translate to the understood "evidence based" being what's termed "confounding" as evidenced based in reality is emerging more & more be a transient state continuously improving & evolving by the day - so anything from yesteryay's evidence based is not the way.

Gone are the days of 9/10 of x & y did > with z - on are the days of myriads of intricacies continuously redefining the a's to the b's to the x y and zs - onward to zza azzb, zzzzz z, & so on & continuous improvements for perpetuity. Yesteryay's peaks reached at end of days being today's baselines waking up to; brighter days comprised of brighter ways & brighter pathways blazed with the torch of intricacies, individualities, liberated interdependent independence - individualized right ways right times inherently inheriting distinct & diverse As all the time.

Issue with "evidence based" best practices & their omnipresent manifestation is in their absolute affinity to fixed findings from fixed studies with fixed variables & glaring shortfalls of incorporating distinct variables that when incorporated make everything "make sense."

Incoming strong is the era of just in time evolving by the day real time agility & responsiveness - the understanding that blanket 'evidence based' practices like '7/10' did better when d was done - that these things never were throwing of decks of cards in the air - & that these 3/10s & to be revealed more in fractionation all along had real variables - measurable & optimizable ones - that explain everything & open doors for many to opt for optimism.

So many things certainly are in the works of being re-imagined - and with prevalent frequency - seeing insight ignited for what retrospectively will be seemingly for the first time.

So much of the 'evidence based' - necessitates full revisiting & reviewing as so many variables / inputs treated as 'fixed' / not related to the dependent variables / outcomes - are all now in play with AI & expanding awareness.

Could expand on & on - yet - need not as this is what's rolling out in front of our eyes & in accelerating fashions.

See in the near future re-evaluation of the expression 'evidence-based' & replacement be it with creative terms or otherwise an expression more progressive - more present - not ignorant to the perpetuating promise in place based.

I for one - have not for a long time crossed any citations of "evidence based" that do not seem overwhelmingly misplaced given everything taking place - democratazation of optimizations capitalizing on individualizations - defying the defined & redefining possibilities with DEI - & the en route continued delivery of kpis/okrs cemented in impossibles - & the power of guided reimagination when ceilings are supplanted firmly as baselines.

Sky is certainly the limit - & - imo - 'evidence based' is as noted earlier - a 'confounding factor.' Time will differentiate but predict the era of evidence-based - is coming to a close.
