Two years ago, I featured our new addition, Sadie.
Since then, she has grown up a bit. You, too, may feel like you've grown in your role. In honor of "speaking up to lead," let's revisit the lessons we can learn from a pup.
1. Sharing your ideas is hard work. It's important to carve out time to regroup.
2. Know your audience, and give them what they want. This helps them – and you!
3. One size does not fit all. Stay externally focused to adapt to them!
4. Preparation is key. Before big events, find a safe space to center yourself.
5. Life can be hard! When dealing with difficult people or situations, find a (private) outlet for your frustration.
6. Sometimes, we feel at odds with our team. Start by finding common ground.
And stay the course! You'll eventually find alignment.
I hope a little puppy love inspires you to share your ideas – and lead!
Cheers,
Hope and Sadie
