Everything in universe is consciousness

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
As a Hindu, my answer is yes it is. That’s what we call the Cosmic Body of God. The totality of all existence even beyond this universe (since we traditionally believe in an infinite multiverse), as a living and conscious Being, is what we call Brahman, the Supreme Being or Supreme Consciousness. In contrast to the mystic, the physicist Fritj Capra, begins his inquiry into the essential nature of things by studying the material world. Penetrating into ever-deeper realms of matter, he has become aware of the essential unity of all things and events. More than that, he has also learnt that he himself and his consciousness are integral part of this unity. Thus the mystic and the physicist arrive at the same conclusion; one starting from the inner realm, the other from the outer world. The harmony between their views confirms the ancient Indian wisdom the Brahman, the ultimate reality without, is identical to Atman, the reality within.
We are all star dust. We came from an energy point. Without sounding too mental, over the years I’ve come to the the conclusion that we are the universe. We are not the whole of it, nor did we create it. Instead we are a part, so we are also a consequence. I can’t really describe it in words but if you follow the history of the earth, it seems that it’s components were always (not necessarily willfully) striving for life. Not that life was the plan, or that the universe was conscious, but rather it seems to be a logical progression.
That fact the we are conscious, means that that the universe by default is conscious; (or have I forgotten to take my meds). I don’t think that is something that can be “proven” because it can’t be measured physically. It can be observed, however, in the unity of primary conscientiousness that is eternal, but, only truly exists in the tiny speck of time that is the moment. I do believe that it is possible that consciousness itself is a part of the substance of the universe, and not just a creation of the brain. I can only give an opinion, however, and I have more questions than answers. There are people who can misinterpret any fact, and there are times that we just don’t have the facts.
But, If consciousness was a primary substance of all being, or existence, wouldn’t that, in effect, prove God? Wouldn’t that help us understand spiritual truths, expressed in the major religions, and enable us to separate spiritual truths and the physical truths of science, without conflict, in our minds? Wouldn’t it help us understand our sameness, as well as our differences? It might even provide a starting point in science for the Grand Unification Theory (GUT) sought by science to explain how all scientific knowledge and discipline is bound together by . . . . “something” that science hasn’t yet been able to explain.

I think most of us have to leave the answers to something greater than ourselves, if we want to find value in living, and after all, isn’t that what Faith is? The universe is inanimate it is lifeless nothing came come from anything inanimate. And unless acted upon by a superior outside force that could give it direction and organization. Otherwise it stays inanimate forever. Neither Scientists nor others have been able to make new life from inanimate material. Even if scientists could produce living protein from inanimate matter, it would simply confirm that preexisting intelligent life was needed as a directing force. It is thus far proven as inanimate rather than animate.
Consciousness is a body function; it’s the body’s navigational / guidance system, enabling the body to move around in search of food, water, mates, shelter, safety and comfort. Only animals are conscious because only animals need to be conscious; an unconscious animal cannot survive for long. The universe is not conscious; why would it be, it doesn’t need to be conscious, it doesn’t move around, it isn’t searching for food, etc. What a strange notion, a conscious universe. This sounds like a classic case of projection; we are conscious (well, we are, a little bit, not much, we could be much more conscious but that is a different point) and like with many human attributes, we project that attribute onto inanimate objects / systems.
It also sounds like some New Age mysticism, a hybrid of classical Eastern mystical philosophies and DMT trips. DMT — or N, N-dimethyltryptamine in medical talk — is a hallucinogenic tryptamine drug. Sometimes referred to as Dimitri, this drug produces effects similar to those of psychedelics, like LSD and magic mushrooms. Other names for it include: fantasia, businessman’s trip, businessman’s special, 45-minute psychosis, spiritual molecule etc.But No, the universe is not conscious, and what that has to do with religion (which one, so many to choose from) I have no idea, nor is it of any interest to this reader / writer, sorry about that.
