Everything will be okay in the end

I am definitely not the first one writing about 2020. Last year took everyone along for a spin. For those who know me on a personal level as a person usually holding the tone of optimism, reading a statement from me about how 2020 was f**ing awful may catch you by surprise. But facing the truth, and accepting the truth, are a part of the healing journey ?āina and I went through in 2020. 

At the beginning of last year, we decided to reposition our agency from On Any Given Monday to ?āina. Our launch in the fall wasn't successful at all. So what next? I thought I had figured it all out, and the world was waiting for us to rise like the phoenix from the ashes. But of course, no one was waiting. Why should they be?

'āina didn't feel finished, or even like a good final draft. Our message was confusing, our proposition vague, and most importantly: we were missing how to deliver real solutions! What we are good at is using our strategic minds to help clients move forward. 

What Was Missing? 

?āina's engine: our branding methodology called Identity Built Branding?. Simple yet powerful. But we weren't communicating it. I instead created phrases such as, "unicorns surfing rainbows and pragmatic strategy" that no one, except myself, would understand. 

I learned from my mistakes, and I adapted. During the holidays, I finally finished writing the fundamental paper about Identity Built Branding? (IBB) called "TotalBranding", restructured our website, and completed the strategic journey to bring IBB into action. 

The new network designed for IBB starts with TotalBranding. Our agency ?āina, now the house of IBB, is fully committed to executing company strategies for those who are curious to build their brand/culture using IBB. And lastly, MUA, an early start-up research technology that helps improve company culture and identity through tools that offer daily analytics to train self-awareness. 

This power triad allows IBB to live out its fullest potential as a company's resource and guide that can navigate all circumstances of challenge, growth, and change that inevitably lie ahead. IBB will provide companies with an adaptive compass that will be much needed after 2020, and the facing global transformation. A mission I am fully committed to!

I hope that people give us a second chance, and check out where we now stand! I believe that IBB will be a game-changer for companies, networks, and industries.
