Everything Multi-Sport - Football?

Everything Multi-Sport - Football?

Football or soccer in the off-season is this a good idea?

I’ve been wrestling with this for a few years due to the risk of injuries. Is it however fun and a team sport with a great sense of camaraderie which can be lacking in the sports we do.

So, to research this topic I joined the local walking football group and find myself loving it.

We also get to move in a way we don’t normally – lateral running, running backwards plus stretching, jumping, punching and throwing if you are in goal.

It’s a great workout and the connection with fellow team members is something I had forgotten from my netball and hockey days.

What do you think? Is trying a different sport in the off-season a good idea?

Now let’s dive in to the other best bits from swimming, cycling, running and holistics from the past week.

Burping While Swimming

Swallowing air while swimming can lead to excessive burping and belching. While swallowing air is almost unavoidable during your swim, certain triggers can make it worse. If you notice pain with your burping or frequent episodes, talk with your doctor to ensure that it isn't a sign of something more serious.

GIZMOS & GADGETS

Helmetor Bike Helmet Holder

I installed a couple of these on the wall outside one of my athlete guest rooms so they could hook them up and let them dry off (it’s hot here in Spain!).

They work really well and keep the helmets safe and can be locked for security.

Cost effective and can turn into a talking point as they have an unusual shape.

Ideal for garages, hallways, kids rooms, work shops and more!

The company is based in Northern Ireland and can ship world-wide.

Price:?£10.99/€13.21/$14.72

I have to STOP buying these parts

So, is this Quality fade or is it planned obsolescence?

My guess is, it’s a little bit of both, maybe it started as a quality fade, but since it has been like this now for a couple of years, the problem may actually be helping their bottom line by selling more products. And as long as there are enough older users that have grown up with their products there is a certain built in customer base that will be there for a couple of more years. Now will they attract any new customers with this approach.

I would say 100% no. If these would have been my first Time pedals I ever purchased, I would have run for the hills and bought any else and never these again.

Five things we took away from the inaugural WTCS Weihai

WTCS Weihai could hardly have been more different to the race that preceded it in the Series.

Whereas Hamburg has been a staple of the competition for well over a decade and offers a flat and rapid sprint distance course, Weihai stepped up to host a Series event for the first time and served a brutal, hilly standard distance affair.

For all the differences between the two races, one crucial point in common was the fantastic action they provided.
