Everything just clicked (in a good way).

Everything just clicked (in a good way).

The day after my 40th birthday, I slipped a disc in my back. Pretty brutal welcome to my 40's I'd say. It caused me quite a bit of pain for a few months, and then 'click' and the pain disappeared, never to be seen since.

But fear not, this weeks newsletter isn't about my old-man ailments.

Over the past few months I've been carrying around a mental equivalent to that slipped disc. I think it's super common amongst founders in particular.

My brain has been full, like to-the-brim full, with ideas for the future of FounderON . People seem to like the blog, and since then I've started offering 1:1 mentoring and most recently the digital courses. I've added things that seem to have worked, but now that I have lots of other things to add, it's all getting a bit messy.

It's been really hurting my head that I have all of these things that I want to do, but I can't work out how they fit together. I am craving simplicity, but instead just getting chaos.

Ring a bell, founders??

Anyway, on a walk with the dog this week it clicked. And the relief was equal to that disc slipping back into place. Suddenly, absolute clarity. So much so that I temporarily lost the dog, but thanks to his tracker I quickly got him back.

Out of no where, while thinking about something completely separate, everything just made sense. My 15 different services and ideas turned into 3 simple products.

More value to the people I'm already working with for no extra cost. New value to new people I'm not working with. Super scalable without needing to hire people or give up my calendar.

The only bit I wasn't sure about was whether it was actually possible. Like physically possible from a technical perspective (not my strong point).

So I ran back from that dog walk (literally), grabbed my laptop and about 50 pieces of A4 paper and figured it out. And it works. Theoretically and technically.

I think it's the best feeling. I remember it happening a few times when running my agency. I didn't even know I was in pain until I figured it out and got the sweet relief in my brain (until the next thing took over of course).

The best thing is, I don't think it'll take that long to execute. but I'm going to stick to my planned January launch to give myself an easier life. But, as I'm sure you know, I'll be sharing all of the details here very soon. Mainly to make sure I'm building something that people actually want.

It's called FounderON ADVANTAGE, and it's coming soon!

Happened to me too last week… uncanny timing. I didn’t lose the dog mind you... just a nights sleep over the excitement of finally figuring out how to merge 18 months of thinking into three services. Now I’ve just got to get around to listening to your whole course!

Great perspective, Chris. The mental challenges often outweigh the physical in entrepreneurship. Kudos on the fundraising effort making a real difference.
