Insider Risk: understanding threats from within???

According to industry studies, the average cost of an insider incident is three times that of an average cybersecurity incident and accounts for one-third of all data losses. Yet many organisations’ cybersecurity teams focus solely on defending against external hackers and have not launched an Insider Risk program, which is one reason why cybercriminals have begun trying to induce, trick, coerce, or place insiders at enterprises.?

In this paper, we explore the multitude of factors driving the increase of Insider Risk across organisations and how PwC is continuously enhancing its preventive Insider Risk framework, based on learnings from our forensic post-incident reviews, to help organisations detect and stop such events.??
