EVERYTHING WILL FIT EVENTUALLY . .

Life is like a jigsaw puzzle. We are constantly discovering where to fit the pieces to form the big picture. In my journey of discovery, I’ve found some key pieces that have improved my thinking for the better.
Our JOB is an integral part of our lives and we desire to be recognized for it. But our job should not define us. Instead, our CORE VALUES should define us wherever we go. Our job is a place for us to grow and develop as a person—in skill, knowledge and capabilities.
Which brings me to the next point—our reward system. For most of us, we work for MONEY and the trimmings it brings. Logically the more we have, the more HAPPINESS we should derive. But this a fallacy. The person with little can sometimes be happier than the one with much. It is not money that is the root of evil, but the love of money which entraps many into wasting their precious time on things that will not last. Making money is not the means to everything. When lost, it can be made again or recovered back. Instead, treasure your TIME because lost time can never be recovered or made back.
In my journey of ups and downs, every lesson is a mistake waiting to be taught. They make you a better person. Also, I couldn’t have learned these precious lessons without a good support system on a personal and corporate level. Your network is truly your net worth. When you give without expectations, the universe has a way of looking after you.
Above all, treat people as you would like to be treated. Eventually, everything will fit in the right place.
How are you fitting the pieces—job, core values, money, happiness, time, families and friends?

3 年Joseph Irving D'aranjo, you have published an insightful and well-written article. Thank you for sharing your own experiences and perspectives on money, but more importantly, on life and how to put the puzzle pieces together to gain a comprehensive picture of life and the direction to take. My dad?(God rest his soul) used to say that life is all about taking care of others and leaving a legacy for your family, love ones, and friends. Despite the fact that it can be difficult at times, I always do my best to live by what he shared and taught. As you mentioned, life is full of ups and downs. Your contribution also reminds me of the article on juggling five balls, four of which are rubber balls and one of which is a glass ball. I am sure you have heard the story. I would like to add that a set of good values and a strong personal conviction will help you see the big picture and make the appropriate life decisions.
