Gen AI Event on Financial Services

PwC’s GenAI event series: key takeaways?

We have been hosting a series of events about generative AI (GenAI) and its implications for specific industries. So far we’ve held three of the five events, for the public sector, financial services and the health industry, attended by more than 100 clients in total.

Knowledge sharing

The main goal has been to get an exchange going among participants and give clients a platform to present their GenAI-related experiences, use cases, challenges and opportunities. One or two clients presented at each session.?The events have also included presentations by PwC on compliance and regulatory matters, showing how the new EU AI act may also affect Swiss companies.

Lessons learned

At each event there has been a panel discussion with clients, Microsoft and PwC experts. They took a look back at initial experiences after one-and-a-half years with ChatGPT, the lessons learned, the balance of curiosity and caution in terms of the past approach to the topic, the importance of responsible AI, GenAI portfolio governance, scalability and speed to implementation. The panel also looked into the future, discussing trends relevant for organisations, expectations for the next 12 months, the two or three most relevant opportunities GenAI offers organisations, specific challenges, the relationship between data and analytics strategy and AI strategy, and expectations of the Copilot Suite of applications.?
