Needless to mention how importance Data insight into business decision making process. Everyone now maybe overdosed which how Data driven everything, how benefits a data strategy could help business personas.
I don't against that fact, but, as a business entrepreneur, what do you think you should care about? A datawarehouse fully functionly integrated designed including data governance, datalake, BI dashboard, etc...or the End state of having a data insight?
Let explain this way to make it simple. I need data insight to undertstand who are my customers, what they like, what they don't, what they prefer, who should be my main target if I plan to launch new products. Definitely the data with support from analytic tools, AIML integrated to learn its algorithm could give you a great visibility on that. Technology done well their role in this process, then what next??
There is something more important than data insight. Is that about how to use the insight?
Not really. You got perfect strategy and execution plan by using data insight, but what more important than that?

Well, let's get back to Sales. We leverage technology to help our organization boost the sales revenue, gain market-share, making your stocks more profitable and better earning for shareholder. We use Marketing, Social Media, etc and target right customers' demographic, but why the sales not yield as we expect?
Sales is not about technology or process, it's about people. People decision making most of the time happen with Emotional involving.
If there is a thing more important than the data insight, that is the Sales person. And non-sales skills are much important than sales skills.
Once you are able to connecting people, get them entrust, all other metrics not matter anymore.
Be a sales with Brain but having Integrity and Heart. Be a Sales who connect the people and your products features, matching their business long term strategy with your company value. Putting your customer benefits first as well as making friends with your customers first, you are always on the way to win-win.
