Everyone has the right to become owners of their data
Are you worried about how many companies out there have your data? Has your data been stolen in any of the, what seems like commonplace now, data breaches that are happening more and more frequently? I know I try to be reasonably safe with my PII, I am careful about what information I post and when so as to attempt to control what is public. When I was in the service still, we would get briefed about social media and the potential threats it poses to us with regularity. Not just to us as individuals but, us as a unit as well.
I was recently watching a video from one of my favorite YouTube channels, The Action Lab and, the creator had a sponsor, a company called Mine.
I just found 71 companies that are holding my personal #data Mine made it easy to remove my data from the services I no longer use.
Check it out for yourself, here is my referral link. They discover the companies that hold your data by analyzing your emails’ subject lines. They do this without collecting any of your emails so none of your data is stored anywhere but your email.?
One of the most informationally useful sections they have is the Privacy in Action section. Here they give a privacy index of the top 50 online companies according to?
They have an active community of over 225k members as well so you can chat with others before doing anything yourself if you are skeptical.
Keeping track of your data and information is difficult today with everything on a computer, smartphone, or smart-home asking for you to allow information gathering. This will help you manage some of that in a simple, straightforward process.
