Everyone Everywhere // 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (MSG)

by Mark Jordan | Spiritual Advisor

Today's passage comes from 1 Corinthians 12 where the Apostle Paul began discussing the who, what, when, where, and why of God sending us the Holy Spirit. The simple breakdown is God is the One who sends us the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus to live within us for the purpose of serving God by serving others and making His love known to all. The Message version gives us this idea by explaining how God's Spirit is at work everywhere and for everyone who accepts Jesus so we can serve everyone everywhere. The various gifts of God take our circumstances and life stories into account so we can be equipped to meet people where they are in a way that will impact them for that time and place. Sometimes we need to do an assessment to better understand our giftedness and get some ideas on what to do with them. The bottom line is to remember that God is at work everywhere and for everyone so everyone can represent Jesus everywhere. Will you make yourself available to God today? I pray so!
