Not everyone is an entrepreneur, and they do not have to be.

Not everyone is an entrepreneur, and they do not have to be.

There is much talk going on about a recent event, how work-life balance is crucial and how upper management is evil.

It is sad and frustrating and the majority of us can relate to it.

We all have been at the spot, with Unhinged expectations, sales promising fairyland and unicorns, and people who build and get work done feel the wrath of it.

Everyone is doing their job, No harm there.

Now, what you and I can do is, not get intimidated and call it for what it is. Put your foot down and tell that to your manager: Here is the thing buddy, It will be done in the given time frame, and here is the data to back it up with and help your manager to build the case with his manager.

Initially, you may be termed a troublemaker, and I have personally felt burnt from being a troublemaker, But what I did was save myself and my teammates from burnout.

The day we all stop being "Yes Sirs" and start being the owner of the work we are supposed to do, things will start to change.

Now, I see people suggesting punching people who promote long working hours. Let's not get violent here kids.

I am not endorsing the other side as well, because they are speaking of what worked for them, and that is not true for everyone.

Let's admit that not all of us are entrepreneurs here.

The pandemic has spoilt us badly, It has skewed the expectations of employers as well. During the pandemic, people did not have much to do. They worked, ate and tried to survive. Productivity was higher because people were putting in long hours, uninterrupted.

Not the case now, Now people have lives back home, they go out, they have family functions, kids' birthdays, marriages and travel plans.

The expectations wrongly set during the pandemic do not work anymore.

So, Corporations, If you give people a reason to work(Money +/ Equity), plus the flexibility to stop when they feel burnt out.

That is when you create a healthy and motivating workspace.

That's my bit..!!
