Everyone Deserves to Live Joy (Yes, Including You!)

Hello, beautiful souls!

Recently, I’ve been taking a course on marketing messaging, and it’s been an eye-opening experience. One of the exercises involved testing different messages to see which ones resonate most with people. When I tested the statement “I deserve to live joy” versus “Everyone deserves to live joy,” the difference in response was striking. The latter resonated much more strongly with people.

This got me thinking—why is it that we find it easier to believe that everyone deserves joy, but struggle to extend that same belief to ourselves? How can we change this mindset and truly embrace the idea that we deserve joy, too?

Why This Belief Matters

Believing that you deserve joy is not about being selfish or self-centered. It’s about recognizing your inherent worth and allowing yourself to experience the fullness of life. When you embrace this belief, you open the door to deeper healing, greater fulfillment, and a more purposeful existence.

Steps to Cultivate This Belief

  1. Affirmations: Start your day with positive affirmations. Look in the mirror and say, “I deserve to live joy.” Repeat it until you feel it resonate within you. If you feel resistance to this, replace “I deserve” with “I choose” until it becomes more resonant.
  2. Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and compassion that you offer to others. Acknowledge your achievements, forgive your mistakes, and nurture your well-being.
  3. Mindfulness Practices: Engage in mindfulness practices that help you stay present and connected to your inner self. Meditation, journaling, and deep breathing exercises can be powerful tools.
  4. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Spend time with people who uplift and support you. Read books, listen to podcasts, and engage in activities that reinforce the belief that you are worthy of joy.
  5. Celebrate Small Wins: Recognize and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Each step forward is a testament to your growth and deservingness.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Why do you think it’s easier for us to believe that everyone deserves joy, but harder to believe it for ourselves? Please share your insights and experiences in the comments below.

Remember, you are worthy of all the joy and fulfillment that life has to offer.

With love and gratitude,

Crystal ??
