Let's start by defining what it means to be humble. A common definition of humble is not “thinking of yourself as better than other people” or” showing that you do not think of yourself as better than other people.” It is the antithesis of pride. It is a posture of lowering yourself and raising up others.
Being humble means being aware of your shortcomings and strengths, and not being proud or self-assertive. It can also mean being open to learning and adapting from others, and putting others' needs before your own.
A humble person is not proud and does not believe that they are better than other people.
WHAT KEEPS US HUMBLE?
Empathy: Humble individuals genuinely care about the feelings and experiences of others. Respectful: They treat everyone with courtesy and respect, regardless of their background or status.
Gratitude. Humble people appreciate the blessings and opportunities in their lives and express thanks sincerely.

HOW DO WE PRACTICE BEING HUMBLE?
Mother Theresa once said, “Humility is the mother of all virtues; purity, charity, and obedience. It is in being humble that our love becomes real, devoted and ardent.” These words ring true, but you don’t have to be Mother Theresa, or even religious at all, to make an effort to practice humility in your everyday life. Being humble means accepting your limitations and making an effort to make the world a better place without wanting to take all the credit. (wikihow.com)
