Everyday Human Resource Management: BE DIFFERENT!

This is a very sad, unfortunate, yet true statement made by many members of the workforce, which is an indicator of how they truly feel about their employers, and what they think their employers feel about them.

Are members of the workforce of a number?

Are members of the workplace regarded as a statistic, being a means to a financial end?

Coming to work is important because it allows you to contribute to your team, develop your skills, and build relationships. It also provides a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF COMING TO WORK?

Meeting deadlines. Consistently showing up to work on time can also help you ensure that you and your team meet important deadlines. By arriving to work early and on time, you can carve out enough time to accomplish many tasks early in the day, which can allow you to clear time for important projects.

FEELINGS

Contrary to popular belief, we are all human contrary to popular belief.

When we work with and for people, we unintentionally develop professional relations because we're a social people.

BUSINESS IS BUSINESS

Employers do not want clock watchers, but they do expect everyone in the workforce to perform their jobs, to perform what they are hired for within the hours of operations.

Employers hope that their employees work smart and work hard. That's why they hired and paid.

NOTHING PERSONAL

Employers hire people - to pay them for the experience, competence and skills they have - to satisfy the needs of their clients.

A BUSINESS TO RUN

As callous as it seems, should a worker resign, retire or die, as a short period of mourning, the business cannot afford to fall apart. Professional commitments have been made.

Persons leaving their employ for what ever the reason, will be replaced - eventually. The business place is not family. Parents, sons and daughters will die eventually. Only families - sadly - fall apart.

BE REMINDED

Above all, still be an employee, a worker of excellence, ethics, integrity and professionalism!

You are hired because you will bring something to table, to develop the organization to go to the next level.

Be known of thought of as a person who is approachable for advice, yet teachable.

Despite your thoughts of not being appreciated, whilst you're there - be difference maker.
