An Everyday Example of Advertising that Inspired Me & How:
Gathered from a casual visit to a Brooklyn pizzeria, seeing a sanitizer dispenser serve as a billboard was very inspiring because the uniqueness of it compelled me to be a more creative copywriter. It motivated me to create a campaign surrounding appropriate themes & concepts which reveals the dispenser was truly a testament to the psychology of advertising: to engage & influence. That being said, the biggest takeaway that transcends this encounter is that advertising (to me) is just a moving gallery, the face and location change but the philosophy remains: to capture someone's attention. And since now I've mentioned art forms, the dispenser is proof of the evolving mediums of advertising & how creativity is one of advertising's main cores. - Likewise, as a budding copywriter in the world of advertising, I aspire to be just as inventive, finding or in this case stumbling on where inspiration in any form may strike. - As quoted by Fabian Casas, "A method for writing should also be a method for living" and I think when this is evident in examples of advertising, it sets a high precedent for advertising since it's all threaded by the human experience.
