Everybody Wins When Everybody's “In”

We recently gathered 185 people at Dimensional’s headquarters in Austin for our Global Client Group Regional Director (RD) meeting. We were all "in" the office, which was an incredibly important ingredient in the success of our multi-day event.?

The meeting solidified my belief that Dimensional is a better firm when we dedicate specific time to being together in the same place to share, learn, and strengthen our cultural fibers. That said, the impact of being in the office is a fraction of the impact of being in the zone.

RDs are the firm’s frontline connection to our financial professional community. When they all come together, there is an incredible amount of energy, creativity, and fun generated from being totally immersed in various sessions and activities. We remained in this flow state throughout our two days as we engaged with each other, aligned on business strategies, and committed to accomplishing goals together.

We focused on teamwork through sharing, on improvement through learning, and on growth through applying that learning going forward. We talked about the importance of being optimistic, purposeful, empathetic, and resilient. Most important, we connected with each other.

The Covid-19 global pandemic may have caused some wrinkles in how we do business, but being together has a way of smoothing many of them out. Our in-person meeting provided clarity and excitement about the journey ahead at the firm.
